I’ve just got the hang of vertex editing. I’ve still got to texture it, but here’s my first attempt, a kind of all terrain buggy / tank. My cousin’s learning game logic at the same time, so maybe i’ll post a quick game here sometime soon. ‘Till then, maybe check out blender, it’s pretty fun :-)

It’s my flatmate Erin’s birthday today (happy birthday!) and I thought, as usual, all the cards available in the local shops were a little uninspiring.. She’s a bit of a cat lover, so I made this cat and matching card from an old converse shoe box I had lying around. I took the outline of the cat from a photo I found online, then cut out 7 layers (different profiles to include tail, legs ears). The layers are stuck together with double sided tape. Don’t think I’ll be able to find an envelope to fit it though!

I’ve had these nice old Phonia headphones for ages (rescued from my father). I’ve always loved the way they looked, but they sounded terrible and had a worn cable. I also aquired a newish set of sony headphones which had damaged casing, So I’ve now combined two fairly useless sets of headphones into one great pair :-)

I just had to cut out the plastic mounting for the old speakers, and then insert most of the sony headphones into the massive enclosures of the phonias. They seem to sound even better than the sony headphones did to start with, perhaps because of the larger airspace behind, or maybe just because they sit more firmly on the ear. I’m sure they’ll look a bit odd paired with my ipod shuffle though !
